Depending on how you use ShuoBa, we may collect account details, sign-in identifiers, lesson progress, speaking recordings, replay videos, subscription status, device diagnostics, and support messages.
2. How data is used
We use personal data to authenticate users, sync progress across devices, evaluate speaking practice, restore purchases, respond to support requests, maintain service security, and improve reliability.
3. Permissions and on-device data
The iOS app requests microphone access for speaking practice, camera access for optional replay recording, and speech recognition access for faster and more accurate scoring. The app stores some cached lesson data locally to improve loading speed.
4. Third-party processors
ShuoBa uses service providers that support hosting, authentication, file storage, purchase verification, and AI-assisted speaking evaluation. These providers may process data on our behalf only to operate the service.
5. Data retention and security
We retain account and learning records only as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and protect against abuse. We apply reasonable safeguards, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.
